Ever since 'Enjoy Enjaami' released five months back, fans have been grooving to the song all day long and has managed to etch a name globally across all languages. The rap-cum-oppari song sung by Dhee and Arivu was released by Music Composer Santhosh Narayanan and is produced by AR Rahman's Maajja productions.
Apart from the head-tuning music of the song, the one aspect that stayed on everyone's minds was the strong lyrics written by Arivu, based on the story of Valliamma, Arivu's grandmother and several other labourers who were oppressed and exploited.
The Indian edition of the popular International magazine 'Rolling Stones' recently featured Singer Dhee and Shan Vincent de Paul after interviewing them for their hit singles 'Enjoy Enjaami' and 'Neeye Oli'. But it was only sometime before fans noticed the abscence of Rapper Arivu who had penned the lyrics of both the songs. Soon, netizens took to their social media handles and penned their thoughts on the same. They also asked AR Rahman's Maajja Productions and Santhosh Narayanan to speak up regarding the issue.
.@talktodhee and @shanvdp appear on our August 2021 cover. The triumphant South Asian artists have been at the front of erasing border lines with songs like "Enjoy Enjaami" and "Neeye Oli" respectively, released via platform and label @joinmaajja

A certain section of fans also pointed out that this was not the first instance where Arivu was left out and that the same happened during the promotions of the remixed version of 'Enjoy Enjaami' with Dhee and French Producer DJ Snake. The posters featured on the Times Square Billboard showed only the duo and not the rapper.
This is how our stories are appropriated and erased from history.
You can't just blanket it as a South Asian music and loot @TherukuralArivu of his labour. https://t.co/0GjeZPs1p0

Without @TherukuralArivu and @Music_Santhosh there is no "Enjoy Enjaami" and "Neeyae Oli" @joinmaajja
Ensure that credits are given to creaters and not only for performers.
I don't consider this as a mistake and I consider this as snub by @anuragtagat https://t.co/3tCYj4mbqn

Director Pa Ranjith quote tweeted the magazine's cover from Rolling Stones India's handle and questioned the magazine and music label Maajja, the reson for omitting the name of singer and lyricist Arivu. "Arivu, the lyricist of Neeye Oli and singer as well as the lyricist of Enjoy Enjaami has once again been invisiblised. Rolling Stone India and Maajja, is it so difficult to understand that the lyrics of both songs challenge this erasure of public acknowledgment?" he wrote on his Twitter page.
Here's his tweet:
@TherukuralArivu, the lyricist of #Neeyaoli and singer as well as lyricist of #enjoyenjami has once again been invisiblised. @RollingStoneIN and @joinmaajja is it so difficult to understand that the lyrics of both songs challenges this erasure of public acknowledgement? https://t.co/jqLjfS9nwY

Director CS Amudhan also spoke up on the issue and said if Dhee, Santhosh Narayanan and AR Rahman should speak up, otherwise it will go down as a historical injustice.
If the @TherukuralArivu erasure wasn’t a deliberate & blatant move, Dhee, @Music_Santhosh & @arrahman should speak up, otherwise it will go down as a historical injustice. These are people we believe are on the right side of the good fight,I really hope they do the right thing.
