Director Gautham Vasudev Menon's recently helmed film, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, has hit the screens after lying in the cans for a brief period. Released on November 29, the action-romance starred Dhanush and Megha Akash as leads.
The auteur will be teaming up with Kidaari-director Prasath Murugesan for the forthcoming web-series Queen, a biopic based on the life of Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Ramya Krishnan will be essaying the role of J. Jayalalithaa in the show.
The makers have recently released the teaser of the series, and are planning to release the official trailer on December 5. The series will be releasing on the streaming platform MX Player.
Apart from Queen, there are two biopics based on J. Jayalalithaa that are currently under various stages of production. One is the feature film Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut, Arvind Swami in central roles and the other is the Nithya Menen-starrer 'The Iron Lady' directed by A. Priyadhaarshini.
