Police departments have found an innovative way to communicate the seriousness of social distancing with their witty use of pop culture on their social media handles. Recently, the Jaipur Police issued a quirky warning to those who seek to roam outside during the ongoing lockdown period.
Taking to their official Twitter account, the Rajasthan based Jaipur Police warned that if people defy the lockdown order to roam outside, they will be facing the punishment of listening to the recently released remix song Masakali 2.0.
Remixed by Tanishk Bagchi, the song faced a lot of flak on social media, with the song's original composer AR Rahman expressing his displeasure on his social media accounts. The original song, Masakali, was from the 2009 Hindi film Delhi 6, which was sung by Mohit Chauhan with lyrics penned by Prasoon Joshi.
मत उडियो, तू डरियो
ना कर मनमानी, मनमानी
घर में ही रहियो
ना कर नादानी
