NIVIN PAULY BRINGS BACK A TREND TO CHENNAI?

Actor Nivin Pauly’s Malayalam entertainer, Action Hero Biju opened here in the city of Chennai yesterday, the 5th of February. Chennaites are sure to have spotted multiple wall posters for Nivin as part of promotions for this Abrid Shine directorial. It is after a very long time that an actor from Mollywood is garnering such reception in Namma Chennai. Thanks to the much raved about romantic feature Premam which recently celebrated 250 days of theatre run in Chennai. 

 

Years back when Chennai was called Madras; this was the hub for all South Indian Film Industries. Films and heroes of all South Indian languages were celebrated here and this trend slowly faded off as the boundaries got stronger; so did the target audience.

 

It is heartwarming to see this trend gaining back life and the theoretical acceptance level of this film in terms of box-office collection will be featured in our Monday (February 8th) Chennai City Box-Office report.
