Director Nishikant Kamat, who was on ventilator support for the past week in Hyderabad has passed away at the age of 50. He was undergoing treatment for Liver Cirrhosis.
He was well-known for the Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam in 2015 that starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran in the lead.
Film industry has been paying homage.
