Kangana Ranaut's much-anticipated trillingual film 'Thalaivi' was released today (September 10), coinciding with the festive day of Vinayagar Chaturthi. The biographical drama directed by AL Vijay that shows the rise of former late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's journey from being an ace-actress and a captivating star to becoming one of the most powerful politicians in India.
Photographer G Venket Ram recently shared some behind-the-scenes videos from 'Thalaivi' which showcased Arvind Swami recreating some of former late Chief Minister MG Ramachandran's steps in famous films. He was also seen explaining the nuances in the song sequence. In an exclusive interview to Behindwoods, Arvind Swami mentioned that he did two years of homework for his role as MGR in this biopic.

It is to be noted that the Chennai-based photographer recreated some of painter Raja Ravi Varma's paintings for his 2020 calendar and roped in 12 famous personalities including Khushbu, Ramya Krishnan, Samantha, Shruti Haasan and Shobana.
Post the theatrical release, the Hindi version will hit Netflix and the other versions will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video after a four-week window. However, official information regarding the same is yet to be announced by the makers.
The biographical film is directed by AL Vijay and stars Arvind Swamy — in the role of former Tamil Nadu CM MG Ramachandran, Madhoo, Samuthirakani, Nasser and Thami Ramaiah.
