Nikesha Patel is the British Indian actress who made her debut in the Telugu film Puli. After having acted in three Tamil films including Yennamo Yedho, she has played the lead opposite Nakul in the film Naradhan which is to release on April 1st. Behindwoods held an exclusive talk with the young actress:
Explain your journey as an actress:
It’s been a rollercoaster ride. Lots of ups and downs. I’ve played a lot of different roles now and people have accepted me. In Telegu I’m noted for the glamourous roles, in Tamil it’s a bit of a flick. So each set of audience will have a different judgement about me.
What can be expected of this film?
It’s a suspense genre with a lot of twists and turns. In this film I play the role of a person suffering from memory loss. It’s the first film for me where I get to perform a lot.
How was your relationship with your co-stars Nakul and Premji?
It was a lot of fun. Nakul is a very energetic person. Premji and I are close friends and I admire him as a personality.
One actor/director whose project you wish to be part of?
I’ve always wanted to work with Dhanush. I’ve watched all his films and I admire him. When you’re talking about director, I’ve always had this wish to be a part of Mani Ratnam’s films.
One movie you watched recently and wished you were part of?
Anegan.
