NADIGAR SANGAM’S PLEA TO TN CM

Nadigar Sangam office bearers met TN CM today, the 11th January 2016 and handed over the collected flood relief fund of Rs 1 crore ten lakh and twenty five thousand on behalf of the Sangam to her. Nasser, Vishal, Ponvannan and Karunas handed over the cheque.

It is said that the office bearers had a plea to the CM that during elections, be it Assembly or Lok Sabha, actors staying outside, are not permitted to leave their native town and perform in plays or stage plays. This is naturally affecting their income for around three months since the announcement of elections.

Therefore they had requested the intervention of the CM in this so that this rule may be lifted. Hearing this, the CM had said that TN government is always on the side of artists and if this rule is pertaining to election commission, then it should be directed only at the commission.
