“EVEN AT THIS AGE, HE IS VERY COOPERATIVE”

Music composer Prakash Nikki of Maalai Mangum Neram from Rowthiram turns a producer for a film to be directed by debutant Vijay Sri G that features the veteran Charu Hasan as an ageing drug mafioso.

He tells us what made him change his role. “Director Vijay Sri came to me for composing the music for the film. I found the concept of the story very different and interesting. I also felt it would be right for this generation. So, I thought why not I bankroll this venture. That’s how I became the producer. I am also doing the music for the film.

Charu Hasan returns to the screen after a long time. We are right now shooting his portions and it would be complete in five to six days. Even at this age, he is amazing and is extremely cooperative. Apart from him, there are other artists and we would be finalizing them soon. Since it is a Chennai oriented film, we are shooting in Chennai only.

For music, I am planning to try out something different from what I have done all along. We have a couple of names for the film and would announce soon. We will complete the film by this yearend or next year beginning”.
