MOHANLAL EQUALS MAMMOOTTY'S RECORD

Mohanlal equals Mammootty's record of appearing as the same character in most number of movies. Mammootty has appeared as the CBI officer Sethurama Iyer four times in director K.Madhu's Oru CBI Diary Kurippu (1988), Jagratha (1989), Sethurama Iyer CBI (2004), Nerariyan CBI (2005).
 

Mohanlal who had earlier appeared as Major/Colonel Mahadevan in Major Ravi's Keerthichakra (2006), Kurukshetra (2008) and Kandahar (2010) will now be appearing as Major Mahadevan in the director's next film '1971 Beyond Borders', thus equalling Mammootty's record of appearing as the same character in four movies.
