MOHANLAL CRITICISED FOR SUPPORTING DEMONETIZATION

Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal has never held back his thoughts on social issues and has always expressed it through his blog. His latest article on demonetization has raised both support and criticism.

In the article titled 'A big salute to Virtuous India' Mohanlal urged people to support a movement that aims for the betterment of the nation. He said that he understands the difficulties of standing in a queue for hours, but requests people to bear with it for the nation.

He said that he adores ideas and not idols. He also praised Narendra Modi and termed the action as a Surgical Strike on Black money.

His words "We who stand in queues in front of liquor stores, cinema theaters and religious centers without raising our voice should adjust a little" provoked many who even termed the actor to be a complete disaster".
 

But the actor reacted to that saying, he has stood in a line whenever he got a chance, and would happily do it again. He was in Rajasthan shooting for Major Ravi's movie when the declaration came.
