Malayalam actor Mohanlal was involved in helping the Kerala Flood victims with the relief and rehab process through the NGO ViswaSanthi, named after his parents. While interacting with the press, a reporter asked Mohanlal his opinion on the Nuns sexual abuse case. Following which, he lost his cool and lashed out at the reporter.
Mohanlal said: "Aren't you ashamed to ask such unnecessary questions to me? There are various important things which are going on here. What is the relationship between these activities and nun abuse? You can ask other things related to flood relief activities. You should understand that a grave disaster has happened in Kerala. When I am saying something, you are asking the nun issue."
Yesterday, Mohanlal took to Facebook to apologize for the incident and asked the reportere to forgive him and forget the incident. The post, originally in Malayalam read: "Even after one night, the incident remains in my heart, and that is why I have decided to write this. If my words have hurt the reporter, I hereby convey my apologies. You should leave the matter by thinking that the words were delivered from the mouth of an elder brother. My words were not intended to hurt anybody or any particular organization. It is my responsibility to answer your questions."
On the work front, Mohanlal is working on KV-Anand's next film with Suriya, and also in actor Prithiviraj Sukumaran's directorial debut.
