It all started when a few days ago popular actress, Meera Chopra who is also the cousin of actress Priyanka Chopra had interacted with her fans on her Twitter space and a Twitterati had asked her to describe Jr. NTR. To which, she had tweeted, “I don't know him...I am not his fan.”
Soon after this, his fans started trolling and sending ‘rape and death threats’ to the actress on social media, which had forced her to lodge a complaint with Telangana police and the National Commission for Women (NCW).
On Friday, tagging IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and former Nizamabad MP, K. Kavitha, Meera tweeted that the Hyderabad City Police had filed a FIR in the case and that she was hoping that this would be investigated thoroughly for the sake of safety of women.
In response to this, Minister Rao tweeted, “Ma’am, I have requested @TelanganaDGP and @CPHydCity to take stern action as per law based on your complaint.” Check out the tweets below -
