As part of the centenary celebrations of AIADMK founder and former Chief Minister Puratchi Thalaivar M.G. Ramachandran, fondly known as MGR, a biopic of the legend has been planned. Ramana Communications is the production house bankrolling this project.
On November 8th, shooting for the project will commence with a flag off event presided over by the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palaniswami. Other Ministers, MPs and members from the film fraternity are set to join and commemorate the event.
It is official that Vijay would be teaming up with director Bharathan for his 60th film. Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead and reports suggest that the film is likely to have another heroine as well. It is rumored that Vijay is playing a dual role in the film.
Now the latest we hear is that this untitled flick might be on the lines of MGR’s classic double action film Enga Veettu Pillai. One feels the script would be totally apt for Vijay provided that it is tweaked a little to suit the current generation audience.
It must be noted that Vijay 60 will be produced by Vijaya Productions, the very same banner that produced Enga Veettu Pillai 50 years back in 1965.
An official confirmation about this information is awaited!
