Velaikkaran's music album had five songs and all the songs reached out to the majority of audience. In the film, there was a surprise song called "Thatrom" and it was sung by music director Mervin Solomon. So we got in touch with the music director to know more details about it.
He said, "Thatrom was an accident. After Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, all of us schoolmates worked as a team again for Velaikkaran. We composed it the same way like how before they used to do. It was all spot composition since we had no time at all. Anirudh suddenly called me and asked me to sing the track. It was quite an interesting experience."
Stay tuned for more details about Velaikkaran.
The music of Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran released on December 3 and it has been received well. Anirudh had already delivered two singles, Karuthavanlaam Galeejam and Iraivaa, which took the internet by storm soon after its release.
The film is all set to hit the silver screens on December 22 and Anirudh seems pretty held up with the background score work for the Mohan Raja directorial. It is said that the work is happening at a brisk pace in Yash Raj studios, in Mumbai. Fellow music composer Mervin Solomon is also a part of the re-recording works as he took to his social media pages to update pictures from the studio!
