Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal is expected to be screened at the Le Grand Rex theatre in Paris, which is said to be the largest cinema theatre in Europe. It has a capacity of over 2000 seats, and Mersal would apparently be the third film to be screened at this famous theatre.
Le Grand Rex has confirmed this information through their Twitter handle “Le 18/10, venez découvrir le nouveau film avec la superstar @actorvijay: #Mersal! En tamoul sous-titré / Résa :" Their tweet states that the film will be screened at Le Grand Rex on the 18th of October which confirms the fact that Mersal is all set to hit the screens on October 18th for Diwali. It is to be noted that Mersal would be the third film to be screened here after Kabali and Baahubali 2.
Vijay’s big film Mersal had its Telugu teaser releasing today (September 30, 2017). The film is titled as Adirindhi and it has music by AR Rahman with SJ Suryah, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Vadivelu as part of the cast.
A striking difference has been spotted between the Tamil and Telugu teasers. It is a known fact that, in the Tamil Mersal teaser, MGR’s poster will be seen in the backdrop at the fag end of the teaser. Likewise, in this Telugu version it is to be noted that, NTR’s poster is seen instead of MGR’s poster in this same shot. This has been done to encash the Telugu nativity.
