Actor Vijay met TN Cheif Minister Edapadi Palanisamy today. The meeting happened at the CM's residence on Greenways Road, Chennai.
Reports say that the Mersal actor has met the Chief Minister to thank him for reducing the entertainment tax to 8%. Kadambur Raju, the Minister for Information and Publicity and director Atlee were also part of the meeting. It is also reported that Vijay did not discuss anything regarding his next release Mersal which is expected on Diwali.
Mersal has been in the news recently for good and bad reasons. Promotions for the film are in full swing as the film is all set and geared up to hit the screens on 18th October, for Diwali. Fans are very excited and are eagerly waiting to catch their idol on screen. Meanwhile, issues also follow the Mersal team as they just came past a title issue and now they are facing problems with the censor board and the Animal Welfare Board of India.
Actor Vijay has not given any statement regarding this yet, but we have just received reports that the Theri star has met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palaniswami, a few minutes ago. It is said that the actor met the CM at his house to discuss the issues following the film's release and thank him for the developments relating to the entertainment tax on tickets.
