“I STOPPED ACCEPTING NEW OFFERS BUT WHEN VIJAY’S MERSAL CAME MY WAY, I DID NOT WANT TO MISS IT.”

We have seen Meesha Ghoshal play supporting roles in some of the popular films in the past. But off late the actress says that she has become choosy with her roles. In fact, she was apparently in the mindset of not doing supporting roles anymore, but when she was asked to act in Vijay’s Mersal, she could not refuse.

Here is what the actress had to say, “People started telling me that I look different from what they see me on screen. I did not take those words seriously. I had stopped accepting new offers for the past few months to reduce some weight for Trisha's 1818 where I play the 2nd lead.

So I decided to put my career on hold for some time and reduce my weight before signing new films. But when the offer to act in Mersal came my way, I did not want to miss the opportunity.

I was also with the idea to not act as a sidekick anymore, but I am doing Mersal only because it has Vijay sir and Atlee in it.”
