"VIJAY FILMS HAVE MORE HOUSEFULL SHOWS" - THEATRE OWNER REVEALS

Mayajaal is one of the biggest multiplexes in Chennai with a total of 16 screens. No 2 screens are different and the visitors have a lot to do there, than just watching a film. They've been running the complex successfully for the past 18 years, and Behindwoods got in touch with it's owner, Udeep.

He spoke about various things such as, why is Mayajaal an entertainment hub, and also about films that performed well. "Endhiran had the best reception. It had the hype, it sustained the hype and it was worth the money," says Udeep.

When asked about which star's films get the maximum housefull shows, he promptly replied Vijay. "It is obviously Vijay sir. He has audiences from 6 years to 60 years. There are other people like Rajini and Kamal, who are crowd pullers themselves. They don't even need films. Their names are enough. But, among the current stars, it is Vijay sir," added Udeep. 

Further, he showed what are all the various things that can be done in Mayajaal. He also revealed that the climax of Endhiran was shot in a cricket ground in Mayajaal. Watch the full interview here:
