''IT WAS A TEDIOUS TASK BUT IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT''

Director Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame has joined hands with Udhayanidhi Stalin for his upcoming movie Manithan produced by Red Giant Movies. Udhayanidhi Stalin teams up with Hansika after Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.

Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rajesh and Vivek play prominent roles in this movie. Santhosh Narayanan takes care of the music department. The film comprises of 4 tracks in total. Madhie cranks the camera while Selvakumar is in charge of the art direction department. Manikanda Balaji takes care of the editing.

Manithan is a courtroom drama dealing with socio political issues and is loosely based on real incidents.

“The challenge was to replicate High Court and Mannady street in great detail and fill the sets with 100’s of extras each day. It was a tedious task to coordinate such a big ensemble cast & crew,  but in the end it was worth the effort”, says director Ahmed who is happy and confident with the outcome.

The movie was shot in Pollachi and Karaikudi and now the final leg is on in Chennai and Chalakudy.
