Deepak Chahar was one of Chennai Super Kings' brightest stars in their title winning campaign in this year's Indian Premier League. Deepak Chahar's sister Malti Chahar became an online sensation after she was spotted supporting CSK from the stands. Malti has become viral again after she posted a video of her dancing to Thalapathy Vijay's Apdi Podu song from Ghilli.
Apdi Podu was a song from the movie Ghilli, sung by Anuradha Sriram and KK. It was composed by Vidyasagar and the song was considered as one of the very few South-Indian songs to attain nation-wide fame, along with Naaku Muuka from Kadhalil Vizhunthen, Ringa Ringa from Arya 2 and Why This Kolaveri Di from 3.
Ghilli had Vijay play the lead role opposite Trisha, while Prakash Raj was the antagonist. The film remains to be a cult film till date. On the other hand, Malti's brother Deepak Chahar picked up 10 wickets in 12 games this season at a strike rate of 22.9. He was also very economical at 7.28 runs an over.
