In May 2014, Srilankan filmmaker Nandana Hewapanna made the film Mangala Gamana within 71 hours and 19 minutes. It held the Guinness World Record for being the fastest film produced from script to screen.
Now, that record has been beaten by Vijeesh Mani, a Malayalam director, and producer. His film Vishwaguru was made in 51 hours and 2 minutes and has created the Guinness World Record.
Vishwaguru was based on the life of Narayana Guru, a social reformer of India.
