MALAYALAM ACTRESS ARRESTED FOR REAL ESTATE FRAUD

Malayalam actress Dhanya Mary Varghese has allegedly been arrested by Kerala Police for her involvement in a Rs 130 core real estate fraud. She was arrested at Nagarcoil along with her husband John Jacob.

According to the police, the couple along with John's father had been operating a real estate firm called 'Samson and Sons Builders and Developers' and had taken money from mostly Non-Resident Indians promising to deliver over 500 apartments and 20 villas within a span of two years.

Dhanya began her career as an actress with the Tamil film Thirudi (2006) and has done more than 20 Malayalam films including Thalappavu, Red Chillies and Kerala Cafe.
