Earlier, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan had complained that she received an email from Makkal Needhi Maiam that she had become a member of the party. 

Makkal Needhi Maiam took to twitter to clarify on this issue. They tweeted saying: "We have proof that we received an application from your side. We do not intend to show pictures to the world like you did. The whole world shouldn't start questioning you right?"

They then posted a picture of her response, saying "We've therefore hidden your phone number. You can withdraw your application any time. Until then, Thank you for your response".
