Ranveer Singh will be teaming up with director Rohit Shetty for Simmba, the official Hindi remake of Temper. The film, which is bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, has Sara Ali Khan playing the female lead.

Reports surfaced recently that Madhavan was approached to play the villain. Maddy, indeed confirmed that the news was actually true, but couldn't take up the role, due to his shoulder injury.
 

Madhavan tweeted, "Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost."

We'd have to wait for few more days to know who will be locking horns with Ranveer Singh in this action drama.
