Actor Madhavan will be playing the lead role in debutant director Dhilip's Maara. The actor is paired opposite Shraddha Srinath in Maara, which marks their second outing as lead pair after the 2017 crime drama Vikram Vedha.
Dhilip Kumar had previously directed several short films to his credit. Recently, actress Sshivada, known for her roles in Nedunchaalai, Adhe Kangal, is roped in to play an important role in the film. The actress also posted pictures from the set in her official Twitter account.
Maara features music composed by Ghibran while Karthik Muthukumar handles the cinematography department. Maara is produced by Pramod Films and the makers have recently completed the shoot of the film.
