Moving into the cinema industry from media has been an interesting and welcoming trend. Stars like Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Robo Shankar have worked in Television before they stepped foot into films. The latest trend being popular Youtubers getting into films like RJ Vigneshkanth, Anbu and among them the latest is Maathevan.
Maathevan has been in the media industry for quite sometime now. He was a RJ initially. He later worked with Behindwoods for 2 years and currently, has now become a freelance interviewer. The young personality has marked his acting debut with director Sarjun's Airaa where he will be seen playing an important character role along with Nayanthara and Kalaiarasan.
He is now taking the limelight by playing a lead hero in Lights Camera Action. Directed by debutant Balaji Jayabalan, the film is produced by Tychee Studios. With entirely fresh faces in the cast and crew, Balaji Jayabalan is set to stage the story of a modern-day assistant director.
“Since it’s the role of a modern-day assistant director, we wanted someone very young to play the role and Maathevan seemed perfect. He not only fit into the role but has performed soulfully”, said director Balaji. With the movie’s post-production works yet to be completed, we can expect to see Maathevan playing a hero in Lights Camera Action in theatres pretty soon.
