One of the most anticipated projects of 2018 is Mani Ratnam's next directorial, featuring STR, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Fahadh Faasil, Aishwarya Rajesh, Arvind Swami in lead roles. The film, which has music by A.R.Rahman, cinematography by Santosh Sivan is produced by Madras Talkies.
But as per our sources, the latest development of the film is that Lyca Productions is apparently in talks to produce the film in the first copy basis to Madras Talkies. The initial round of discussion seems to be positive and we can expect an official announcement from the team very soon.
Popular drama artist and experienced actor Cheenu Mohan made his comeback to Kollywood through Karthik Subbaraj's Iraivi.
Now, the seasoned actor will be acting in Mani Ratnam's next directorial, featuring an ensemble star cast of STR, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Jyothika, Fahadh Faasil, Aishwarya Rajesh and others. It is not new for Cheenu Mohan to act in a Mani Ratnam's film because he has already appeared in a brief role in Anjali and in a very important role in Rajinikanth starrer Thalapathy.
During an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Cheenu Mohan stated that, "Yes, I will be acting in Mani Ratnam sir's next film. Probably, I suppose he would've seen Iraivi. He likes Karthik Subbaraj very much. Recently, I got a phone call from his office, and they noted down my contact details. I have got an invite for now to act in his next film, and nothing more than that has been told. Mani sir knows me pretty well actually, and this invite itself is a great thing for me."
