We live in a time where films are released in the Internet before and soon-after it’s theatrical releases. Though many steps had been taken to prevent the ongoing piracy, but nothing seems to be working as the piracy is still continuing.
Keeping this in mind, a great initiative has been recently taken by the Malayalam film industry. Accordingly, the Mollywood producers are aiming to release their films in rest of India only a week after the film’s release in Kerala.
Malayalam associations have warned of rampant piracy in ROI (rest of India) which usually affects Kerala opening weekend if released simultaneously. So, keeping this reason, this particular step is said to have been taken.
Now, this particular move was well-appreciated by Karthi’s Kaithi producer, SR Prabhu. Loving the new idea, he tweeted, “Very good move by the Malayalam film industry on #piracy issue!”
