Lekh Tandon, veteran filmmaker best known for his films Professor (1962) and Amrapali (1996), passed away on Sunday, aged 88. He was also a prolific TV serial director and actor, and was part of the cast in Swades.
Reportedly, he had been suffering from illness and bed ridden for a long time before his demise. Several Bollywood greats like Latha Mangeshkar, Ashoke Pandit and Ashutosh Gowariker took to their Twitter spaces to mourn the death of Tandon.
