Latha Rajinikanth had an event organized (Care for Children) for her Shree Dayaa Foundation Abhayam children this afternoon, after which she met the press and media.
During the interaction, she was continuously asked about Rajinikanth's political entry, for which she said, "He might come to politics, not just to correct the education system, but also in general, to regularise many things. But, he has to decide it. I am not sure if this question has to be answered by me. It is a decision that has to be taken by Rajinikanth, as a person, and we, as a family, will accept and respect his decision, whatever it maybe. We are also waiting for his official word about the same."
Today, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam inaugurated the Sivaji Ganesan memorial Mani Mandapam after his son, Prabhu had written a letter to the Minister of Information and broadcasting, Kadambur Raju that he was disappointed that the CM and Deputy CM would not be attending the function. The program was attended by a lot of big stars from the film industry as well, which included the likes of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
After the inauguration of the memorial, when Rajinikanth took over the podium, he gave a massive statement about Kamal Haasan's political entry. A lot was talked about Rajinikanth himself entering politics very soon, but the tables started to turn Kamal Haasan's way when he broke the shackles and announced that he would be stepping in really soon. Following all the happenings, Kamal's close friend, Rajinikanth said, "அரசியலில் வெல்ல பெயர், புகழ் மட்டும் போதாது. அதற்கு மேல் என்ன வேண்டும் என்பது கமல்ஹாசனுக்கு தெரியும்". It can be roughly translated to, "To win in Politics, just name and fame is not enough. But Kamal Haasan knows what more is required."
These words could mean a lot to Kamal Haasan and Tamil Nadu itself. Is Rajinikanth all set to support Kamal in his endeavors? Let's wait for further information!
