A sequel to Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, started in June 2017 and the team even released their first look poster soon after the project announcement. However, things did not materialize as the team intended. A few conflicts of interest problems has put this much-expected film on hold.

We had earlier reported about the makers registering a formal complaint at the Producers Council, seeking their help to make Vadivelu act in the sequel. Based on the complaint, the council members had apparently met Vadivelu to discuss and sort out the issues with Imsai Arasan team amicably. Our sources inform us that the council's meeting with Vadivelu did not pan out as expected. Vadivelu had allegedly asked the production team to settle a further remuneration of 1 crore to continue to act in Imsai Arasan 2.

Supposedly, the Council has decided on 2 options for Vadivelu. He should either act in the film without imposing any restriction or else he should settle a sum of ₹9 crores to the team. Vadivelu is said to be given a week's time to decide on this issue and if he fails to oblige to the demands of the Producer Council, he might be given a Red Card. We really hope that the issue gets sorted out really soon.
