Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja usually records songs in his studio in Prasad studio which is in Vadapalani. Almost 40 years ago, this space was allotted to the maestro by the owner, LV Prasad and it was in this studio that the musician came up with some of his biggest hits.
However, last year there were issues between the Prasad studio management which was headed by LV Prasad's grandson Sai Prasad and Ilaiyaraaja. Kollywood had come in support of the maestro, after Sai Prasad wanted the latter to vacate the studio.
Recently, the maestro had filed a case stating that his room in Prasad Studios was allegedly opened and musical instruments and hand written musical notes were damaged or sold in the black market.
He has then moved the Madras High Court to injunct the owners of Prasad Studios and according to the latest news, it has been learnt that the composer has also sought compensation of ₹50 lakh from Sai Prasad and Ramesh for forcing him to move out of the studio.
