WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING WITH VANITHA? - LAKSHMY RAMAKRISHNAN GIVES A FRANK RESPONSE! CHECK IT OUT

Speaking on this issue, actor - director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan had posted a tweet on the same, saying “I just watched the news!! The man is already married and having two kids, not divorced!!! How can someone with education and exposure make such a blunder?!! Shocked!!! Why did the first wife wait till the #VanithaPeterpaulWedding got over , why didn’t she stop it?”

“I actually was hoping, she settles down well in this relationship, she has gone through tough times and has been vocal about her experiences. Everyone wanted her to be happy, but sad that she didn’t look into this part!!!”

Clarifying this statement which has irked different perceptions among Twitteratis, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, has opened up about the same and took her stand on the tweets she posted.

She said “I would like to clarify that whatever I posted was not a personal dig at Vanitha, and of course, I want her to be happy. People must know about the legal procedures before remarrying and it is the law to obtain a divorce before doing so. When uneducated people, who don’t know about this come to my show, we educate them about the laws and how things operate legally. When someone of this stature who’s well educated and bold did not look into this part, I feel it was to be addressed.”

When asked about why she took it to a social medium to address this, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan said “Well, although a wedding is a personal thing, she has always been open about it. She has shared her joyous moments on Social media and has been bold and vocal about it. I just felt this should also be addressed out, so that people who are unaware about the norms and procedures are educated. I stand by my tweets.”

Before signing off, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan said “Well, I guess it is best to leave this at that. There are numerous issues going on in society - issues that are more important, issues that we need to discuss. Let’s focus on that. I still don’t understand why my tweet about Vanitha is garnering so much attention than my other tweets which are about important happenings. Let’s just not discuss this again.”
