Yesterday, Khusbhoo made it official that Sundar C's would be doing a sequel to Kalakalappu ahead of Sangamithra. It was also speculated that Oviya was considered to play one of the female leads in this sequel.

Khusbhoo, however, made it clear via Twitter that no one else except Mirchi Shiva was in talks regarding this project. "The actors of #Kalakalappu-1 except #MirchiShiva wr nvr considered 4 the sequel..wonder whr do sum journos cme wid stories frm..crazy ppl.🙈🙈"

Jiiva, Jai, Shiva, Nikki Galrani and Catherine Tresa are part of the final cast sheet while Hip Hop Adhi takes care of the music department for this comedy entertainer to be directed by Sundar C.
