'Saani Kaayidham' is a film directed by Rocky director Arun Matheswaran and features Selvaraghavan. Arun was the Assistant Director to Director Thiyagaraja Kumararaja. This is Selvaraghavan's debut as an actor. Filming for the film was completed a few months ago. Post-production work on the film is currently underway.

The posters of this film were released and received good response. The film is a crime drama based on real events of the late '80s.

Actress Keerthy Suresh, who plays the lead role in the film, often shares pictures and updates about the film. According to reports, Keerthy will play Selvaraghavan's younger sister in the film.

Sharing the Tamil teaser of the film, actor Selvaraghavan has announced that the film will be released on May 6 on Amazon Prime Video. This image is A-rated by the sensor board.

Director Arun Matheswaran was the assistant director in the 2011 Thiyakarajan Kumararaja directed film 'Aranya Kandam' which was a cult neo-noir genre among Tamil cinema fans. He had also assisted Directors Pushkar-Gayathri, worked as a screenwriter under Sudha Kongra's direction.
