Karthik Subbaraj’s next project starring Prabhu Deva is the much awaited silent film Mercury. We had reported that since Mercury is a ‘no language’ film, the team could go ahead with their plans of releasing the film on April 13, 2018 as they had stated earlier.
The latest confirmation has come in from the Jigarthanda director that, Mercury will be hitting screens as stated on April 13. Also, the makers had announced that the trailer will be launched today. However, Karthik Subbaraj has posted that they will not be releasing the trailer today for the sake of respecting the protests and bandh.
His latest Twitter post read, “With utmost respect to the protests and bandh, we r postponing the Trailer release of #Mercury that was supposed to happen today. However this film being a Silent film and having a huge release globally on 13th April.. And cinema being bread winning profession for hundreds of our team members who has put in their sweat n blood into this film, we r in a situation to move on towards the release of the film. Hence the trailer will be released in a day or two. Looking for all Ur support as always.. Karthik Subbaraj”.
