Director Karthik Subbaraj’s silent film Mercury starring Prabhu Deva is finally set to release in Tamil Nadu tomorrow (April 20). Last week, Mercury had released in other states and it happens to be the first film to release after the strike. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Karthik Subbaraj shared about the film and the hardships he faced to release it here:
“It was extremely difficult these last few weeks for us. To get our product to Tamil audiences has been a struggle. The censor board was very helpful as they understood the significance of a silent film and supported us to release it in all the states. I am glad that Mercury can be watched by everyone in Tamil Nadu from tomorrow (April 20).”
