The Greater Chennai Corporation organized an awareness program to allay fears about the same. Here are a few questions Karthi asked and the answers, thereof.

What are the symptoms we are seeing in the second wave?

In the second wave, severe fever occurs, followed by severe headaches and diarrhea. The virus is affecting people of all ages.

Is it compulsory for patients with coronavirus infection to undergo a CT scan?

A CT scan should be taken only on the advice of a doctor if the patient has difficulty breathing and is suffering from pneumonia. Unnecessary use of it to be avoided as it causes tension and panic.

Which one is better - Covaxin or Covishield?

Both vaccines are safe, and those who are vaccinated can put up a good defense. Get vaccinated with whichever is available.

What kind of food should be taken before and after vaccination?

They ask if alcohol can be taken. It is better not to take alcohol one day before the vaccination and two days after the jab.
