The filmmakers had revealed that the film will not have a female lead as Karthi is signed in to play the role of a prisoner which the title of the film itself reveals.

The film has been receiving positive reviews from the audiences and critics alike. Though it has clashed with one of the much-awaited films of this season, Bigil, Kaithi still has lived up to the audiences’ expectations.
