Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is in the cross hairs now in connection with his TV show Bigg Boss.
While it all started with a Hindu Makkal Katchi demanding the arrest of him and the 14 contestants, the issue further snowballed into a protest in front of his house yesterday.
In the interim, Kamal had called for a press meet, a couple of days ago, to address concerns in the Bigg Boss program when a reporter had asked about the Malayalam actress abduction case. In his response, he had mentioned the name of the actress. Now, this has again caught the attention of Lalitha Kumaramangalam, Chairperson of National Committee of Women who had apparently mentioned that a suo motto action against Kamal Haasan would be taken as he had mentioned the name of a woman assault victim.
To this, Kamal Haasan has responded through his tweets which read, “Apologize say women, while I love & fight 4them.I wiill bend 2 no woman or man 4 no reason. U r penalizing the lawyer & missing criminals. Cant name her? Name her after my mother or my daughter. This war will be fought.Yehhai Mahabharath katha. Jago My lady bharath. Salaam. If you still want me to apoligize I will. No one is above law ...except your gods. God is no reason just a ruse for some”.
