Actor Kamal Haasan is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming spy-thriller Vishwaroopam 2. The film, which is a sequel to Vishwaroopam that released in 2013. The film is all set to release on August 10. The actor visited DMK Leader Karunanidhi's funeral this morning and paid his homage to the legendary writer and politician.
Talking to the press after that, he said: "Our relationship was not confined to the boundaries created by politics. More than losing a great national leader, I’ve a feeling that we’ve lost a leader in our family. Our relationship was one where he was the master and I’m a learner. His contribution to art was very important."
"Even though he has stopped writing now, his works still ring in my ears. There are millions of people crying for this loss and I’m also one of them. This is not a full stop, but a comma." added Kamal.
Karunanidhi breathed his last at 6:10 pm yesterday, aged 94. He was a five-time Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and has never lost an election till date. His body will be buried at the Marina today after the High Court of Madras granted the necessary permission.
