MK Surappa, a former Director of Indian Institute of Technology has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Anna University on Thursday, April 5. Few political outfits have condemned this decision saying a person hailing from Karnataka as VC of Anna University is not acceptable during the times of Cauvery water dispute.
Kamal Haasan has shared his views on this issue now, "We asked for water from Karnataka and we get a vice-chancellor from Karnataka instead. The gulf between people and the government cannot be more obvious. Are they taunting us so we react adversely? I wonder what their game plan is."
