Kamal Haasan reveals why he hosted Bigg Boss

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is awaiting the release of his next film, Vishwaroopam 2, that is all set to hit the screens on August 10. Behindwoods got in touch with the Dasavatharam actor on an exclusive interview, as part of the film's promotions. During the interview, Kamal Haasan was asked about the reason behind choosing to host the trending Bigg Boss show.

He replied by saying, "The main thing is I wanted to reach out to the people. I wanted to talk to the common people. When I took up this offer, many people questioned me and asked why I had to do this. But, they didn't understand the other side of the show. For instance, imagine I need to arrange for a public or a political meeting, it will consume so much of time. Not just time, I will have to arrange for their travel, food, accommodation and make sure everything is fine.

There are other miscellaneous problems too. But, through Bigg Boss, I can meet everyone at ease. If I am able to tell at least some two lines of new information to them through one single episode, that itself is enough for me, and that is why I decided to host Bigg Boss. People see me as the Bigg Boss, and my eyes have registered with them. So, you know the reach."
