Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan recently commemorated his sixtieth year in cinema with a grand ceremony. The show was attended by an array of film personalities from Tamil cinema, including actors Vijay Sethupathi, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Superstar Rajinikanth among others
During Rajinikanth’s speech, he took a dig at the Edappadi K. Palaniswami-led Tamil Nadu government and also said that the bond he shares between Kamal Haasan is infallible. It is noted that apart from being a well-known film personality, Kamal Haasan is also the chief of Makkal Needhi Maiam, a political outfit.
On 19th November, Kamal Haasan was felicitated with a doctorate from Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha. In his recent interaction with the media, Kamal said that he might team up with Rajinikanth in politics.
“We joining together is no miracle. We have travelled together (in film industry) for forty-four years. If the situation persists, then we might definitely team up. But currently, our work is important.”
He also added “We will travel together (in politics) if it is for the betterment of Tamil Nadu’s welfare. We might discuss about our ideologies later, there is still time for that.”
Currently Kamal Haasan is busy with the shoot of director Shankar’s Indian 2 while Rajinikanth will be next seen playing a cop in AR Murugadoss’ Darbar, and will be teaming up with ‘Siruthai’ Siva for Thalaivar 168
