As the first phase of Coronavirus lockdown in India was supposed to come to an end by April 14, looking at the current increasing positive cases, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested the citizens not to step out of their homes and have extended the lockdown till May 3.
Popular actor and politician Kamal Haasan has been actively expressing his opinions on various issues in this critical period on his Twitter handle. The actor has been boldly questioning, criticizing and also appreciating the government's measures.
We all know that in this battle against the Coronavirus, doctors, medical workforce and cops are the warriors who risk their lives to save ours. Even so, some people have not respected and honoured them as they should. Recently, a doctor had died due to COVID-19 and some people had not let the doctor to be buried fearing the spread of virus, despite the government's support.
Kamal reacted to this horrible incident and tweeted that even the ghastly Coronavirus does not look at one's caste or religion. "To stop the last rites of the one fighting to protect us is a devilish deed" stated Kamal and added that the medical professionals are the real warriors.
