KAMAL CLARIFIES ABOUT POLITICS AND JOINING DMK

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were among the guest lists of the 75th year celebration of the magazine, "Murasoli'. The function was held on August 10th, and it witnessed both politicians and celebrities making to the function. In the function, Kamal Haasan shared the stage with the party leaders including MK Stalin.

Kamal Haasan addressed the gathering while Rajinikanth was seated in the front row among the VIP guests. Superstar Rajinikanth did not address the meeting, while, Kamal in his speech made some remarkable statements. He did not rule out joining politics, but he said that joining DMK is not on the cards. Kamal recalled an incident which happened in the year 1983 and said DMK chief Karunanidhi had sent him a telegram asking why doesn't he join the DMK, surprisingly the actor had failed to reply, and Karunanidhi haven't asked about it till date.

Kamal Haasan in his speech also spoke about Dravidian politics. He said that the ruling party AIADMK is marching towards joining NDA and such alliance could detract Tamil identity.
