Kalavaani was one of the underdogs of 2010, that won at the box office, with the positive word of mouth and support from the audience. The film also turned out to be the visiting card for both Vemal and Oviya.
 

Now, it has been officially announced that the sequel to this film is all set to happen, and this second installment will also have Vemal and Oviya playing the leads. Sarkunam will be producing and directing this venture, which has been titled as K2.

This will be Oviya's next film after Kanchana 3 and the Bigg Boss stint.
