"I DID NOT TRY BEING A SQUINT"

Kalaiyarasan is right now busy with Adhae Kangal being directed by Rohin Venkatesan and produced by CV Kumar for his Thirukumaran Entertainment. Kalai plays a blind chef in this film and he explains to us about how he managed to do this challenging role.

“I play a blind chef in the film and I run my own restaurant. It was very difficult to play the role. I did not try being a squint or anything like that but worked as a normal blind man. The direction team had given me videos of many cooking competitions where blind chefs participated.

Smell is a very important component for them. I observed from them many aspects like cutting vegetable, fruits and the way they use their fingers. I did a lot of home work. Initially, it was difficult, but those videos helped me prepare for my role. Shoot is almost done except for a song. Today, the teaser is getting released and it has come out really well.”

Kalai is also a part of an untitled film under CV Kumar’s production, Aidhavan, Kaala Koothu, China and Pattinapaakakam.
