Four five-star hotels in the city of Bangalore decided to screen Kabali in their respective premises, on the day of its release and the bookings also started a few days ago. The tickets were priced at Rs.1300 and Rs.1400, including food and other beverages.
But now it looks like these screenings will not happen. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Karnataka State Film Exhibitors Association had sent a notice saying they would not screen the film in theatres if being screened at five-star hotels.
As a result, it has been decided not to screen the film in hotels, and it is told that money will be refunded to all those people who booked tickets at these hotels. So, the audience in Bangalore will have to catch the film only in theatres.
